The Kano state Government on Wednesday unsealed a 6 storey office complex that accommodates the chamber of Nureini Jimoh, a lawyer who won a case against the APC over the conduct of ward congresses.

Recall that on  Wednesday morning some officials of the Kano State Internal Revenue service acting on the alleged order of the permanent secretary, Bureau for Land Management, Hajia Zainab Buraji sealed the place over alleged non payment of ground rate to the tune of over N3 billion.

The incident happened less than 24 hours after a federal high Court Abuja gave Victory to the case filed by the Learned Silk.

When our reporter visited the sealed office, observed that an officer that led the earlier operation led by one Hassan Idris, who claimed to be working under the instructions of the permanent secretary, Bureau for Land Management, over non remittance of ground rate.

When journalists asked why they unsealed the office, the officer said “it is an instruction from the permanent secretary”.

The spokesman of the State Police command, DSP Abdullahi Haruna was present to investigate possible Police involvement.

In the meantime, the state chapter of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) condemned the action and immediately set up a committee to investigate the matter.
