Kano Guest Community Fete Senator Oseni, Akpoti, Others

Ebira community resident in Kano last weekend rolled out drum to honour prominent sons and daughters of the soil over their respective philanthropy within and outside Ebiraland.

A statement by Hajiya Maimuna Omeneke Yusuf, Chairperson, Publicity Committee, 25th anniversary of Ohinoyi Ebira in Kano said, the list includes Senator Yakubu Oseni (Kogi Central), a renowned socialite, and Gubernatorial candidate, Social Demecratic Party in 2019 general election in Kogi state, Barrister Natasha Hadiza Akpoti.

Hajiya Omeneke Yusuf in the signed statement that was made available to newsmen in Kano listed Hon. Tijjani Damisa, member House of Representatives, Okene/Ogori federal constituency, Khalifa Abdulrahman,and the immediate past national President of Ebira People’s Association (EPA), Dr. Abdulrahman Musa Adeiza as beneficiaries of the anniversary award.

Other Awardees include Alhaji Isah Abdulmalik, Dan’Iya of Ebiraland, a renowned structural engineer, Engr. Sadiq Usman Anako, and former President General, Okengwe Development Association, Alhaji A A Garba.

Hajiya Yusuf in the statement noted that individual Awardees were recognized for their various roles in human development effort that had in no small way lifted the Ebira ethnic nationality to the front burner of the national polity.

She said the Award was a climax of activities that were lined up for the 25th anniversary of Ebira structured leadership in Kano.

Hajiya Yusuf in the statement tasked the Awardees to keep up their philanthropy for the overall development of humanity.
