The Kano Leadership Enlightenment and Advocacy for Development Initiative (Kano-LEADS), on Tuesday has honored Auwalu Salisu who found and returned missing N15 million to owner in Kano state.
A statement by Mr. Rabiu Musa, the organization’s Media and Public Relations Officer, said that the young Keke driver was presented with a letter of commendation by Haj. Aisha I. Dankani, the organization’s President.
The statement recalled that “A 22-year-old tricycle rider returned a missing sum of N15 million to the rightful owner, a Chadian businessman, who boarded his tricycle in Kano”.
The statement reads, “Recently, Mr. Auwalu found and returned a bag containing N15 million to it’s rightful owner. He found the bag in his tricycle after the owner had alighted, and he immediately took steps to find him and return his money”.
“This rare honesty and integrity are truly commendable, and this selfless act has inspired many people, and it’s shining example of the best of humanity”.
The statement said “Kano-LEADS is proud to recognize Mr. Auwal as one of the role model for youths in the state”.
