The Kano State Government has restated its commitment to developing effective policies that will transform the educational sector for rapid and sustainable growth.
This assurance was given by the Deputy Governor of Kano State, His Excellency Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, during the 3rd Annual National Conference organized by the School of Secondary Education (Business) at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Bichi.
The conference, which attracted prominent scholars and stakeholders, was themed: “Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a Catalyst for Creativity and Productivity in Business Education in Nigeria.”
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Governor highlighted the critical role of Artificial Intelligence in modern education, emphasizing its potential to revolutionize not only the educational sector but also key areas such as technical and vocational training, skills acquisition, security, and political administration.
He noted that AI has become an integral part of global development, and the administration of His Excellency Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is resolute in leveraging AI technologies to achieve the state’s developmental objectives.
Comrade Gwarzo stated that Kano State Government is determined to harness the power of Artificial Intelligence to enhance creativity, productivity, and competitiveness among our youth, especially in technical and business education.
In his remarks, the Provost of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Bichi, Dr. Bashir Sabo Abubakar, expressed his appreciation to the Deputy Governor for gracing the occasion and commended the Kano State Government for its commitment to revitalizing technical schools and colleges across the state, as well as promoting skills acquisition among young people.
Distinguished scholars who presented papers at the conference included Professor Auwal Haruna and Professor Mukhtar Shehu Aliyu, who both underscored the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in shaping the future of business education in Nigeria.
The Kano State Government remains steadfast in its mission to provide quality education and equip students with the necessary skills to thrive in the evolving digital economy.
