Kogi Journalists Urge Ajaka To End Legal Hostility, Support Ododo’s Development Agenda

Journalists under the aegis of Kogi Central journalists Guild (KCJG) on Thursday urged the standard bearer of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the last governorship election in Kogi State to cease legal hostility and join the Ododo development initiatives.

A statement jointly signed by the Guild’s President, Malam Muhammad Tijjani AbdulSalam, and the Secretary, Mr Ozumi Abdul,and made available to newsmen in Kano, also enjoined Governor Ododo to be magnanimous in victory.

The group commended Governor Ododo’s commitment to service delivery and community empowerment and also called on the Kogi State number one citizen to sustain the tempo.

“Governor Ododo’s victory today is a victory for democracy and good governance. It is time for all stakeholders to rally behind his administration and support the initiatives aimed at improving the lives of Kogi people.

“This legal validation not only underscores the legitimacy of Governor Ododo’s leadership, but also clears the path for continued progress and stability of governance in Kogi State.

“Despite the legal hurdles faced in recent months, Governor Ododo’s administration has forged ahead with notable achievements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and agricultural development.

“His vision for a prosperous and inclusive Kogi State remains steadfast, driven by a commitment to fulfill campaign promises and meet the aspirations of every citizen.

“The Kogi Central Journalists Guild urges Governor Ododo’s opponents to channel their energies towards constructive engagement and collaboration for the collective benefit of the state.

“Let us set aside differences and work together towards a brighter future for Kogi State, as we have noticed that Governor Ododo’s administration is open to dialogue and partnership as he strives to deliver the dividends of democracy.

“The victory at the Appeal Court not only validates the people’s choice but also reinforces the resilience of democratic institutions in Kogi State”, the statement added.
