KPF Fulfills Promise, Sponsors 17-Year-Old Blind Glasses Inventor

The Kano Patriotic Front (KPF), a non-profit organization, has fulfilled its promise to sponsor the education and development of 17-year-old Khalifa Aminu Alkasim, the inventor of “Blind Glasses,” a revolutionary device that assists the blind.

The sponsorship event, which took place at the KPF Secretariat today (Saturday) at Sasisa House, Kano State, saw Khalifa receive electrical tools, a laptop computer, and an assurance of allowance and office space to support his future innovations.

Khalifa’s invention, “Blind Glasses,” is a wearable device that helps the blind navigate their surroundings by alerting them to obstacles, enabling them to move around independently.

Major General Ibrahim Sani (rtd), Chairman of KPF, in his opening remarks, recalled 2-3 months ago Khalifa trended on various media platforms for his breakthrough innovation.

He praised Khalifa’s innovation and commitment to his craft, noting that the young inventor has demonstrated remarkable electrical knowledge despite not having a degree certificate.

“KPF took the boy to Sabon Gari Market where he purchased all the required tools to boost and judiciously utilize his knowledge”

“KPF has also linked Khalifa with an NGO working in a related field to sign a contract for progressive innovations ahead” he said.

On his part, Khalifa Aminu Alkasim expressed his profound gratitude to KPF for the support, assuring that with the resources and sponsorship provided, many innovations should be anticipated in the nearest future.

His father, Mal. Aminu Alkasim, appreciated KPF’s timely intervention and urged government, sister organizations, and philanthropists to emulate KPF by exploring and supporting young talents like his son to encourage them and reduce unemployment in the country.

PRIME TIME NEWS reports that, The Kano Patriotic Front, established in 2024, aims to promote Kano as a major social, economic, cultural, and industrial center in the North and ECOWAS region, with 18 committees focused on various aspects of life, including education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
