The Management of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), has commiserated with two students of the university over the passing away of their father, Alhaji Adamu Ibrahim Lawan who died on Monday after a brief illness.
Khadija Muhammad Bulama and Maryam Adamu Ibrahim are in 300 level studying Physiotherapy and Computer Science respectively.
In a condolence message signed by the President of MAAUN, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Israr on Tuesday, described the death of the deceased as a great loss not only to his immediate family but his relatives and friends.
“On behalf of the University management and entire university community, I extend our heartfelt condolences to you and the entire family on the sad demise of
your father.
“Please accept our deepest and heartfelt condolences over the huge loss and we pray that God comforts you and gives you the emotional strength to bear the loss,” Prof. Israr said in the condolence message.
He also prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased the highest level of Jannah (Jannatul Firdaus).
The deceased had since been buried in Kano in accordance with Islamic rites.
