Many Trapped As 21-Storey Building Collapses In Lagos

A 21-storey building has collapsed in Ikoyi, Lagos State, leaving many people trapped, Officials of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) says on Monday.

The NEMA rescue team says, the collapsed building is under construction, but several rescue operation has been launched at the scene.

Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), ambulance and fire services were among others are currently on ground.

The Director-General, LASEMA, Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, said emergency response plan was swiftly activated following the distress call.
