In a powerful display of unity, empowerment, and purpose, MATA successfully held its 7th Annual Conference in Kano, bringing together women from across Nigeria and beyond in a vibrant celebration of growth, resilience, and collective transformation.
The annual event, now in its seventh year, has become a hallmark platform where women from diverse sectors business, academia, public service, entrepreneurship, and the home converge to discuss issues that affect them and shape practical solutions for personal and societal development.
This year’s theme centered on building better futures through collaboration, innovation, and purpose-driven leadership. The conference was graced by high-profile personalities including the Managing Director/CEO of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), Dr. Abubakar Shuaibu Jimeta, who delivered an inspiring keynote on the role of women in transforming economies.

Also present was the Vice Chancellor of Skyline University, among many other dignitaries, thought leaders, and professionals who added depth and diversity to the conversations.
Speaking at the event, MATA’s founder emphasized the importance of women taking charge of their narratives and investing in personal and collective development family-wise, career-wise, and business-wise.
