Southern Mexico’s Mayor, Victor Hugo Sosa, participated in a unique ceremony in the town of San Pedro Huamelula. In a traditional rite aimed at bringing good fortune to the community, Sosa symbolically married a female reptile named Alicia Adriana, as reported by AFP on Sunday.
Amidst the joyful cheers and celebratory dances of onlookers, the Indigenous Chontal people observed the Mayor as he engaged in a re-enactment of an ancestral ritual.
Sosa expressed his commitment, stating, “I accept responsibility because we love each other. That is what is important. You can’t have a marriage without love… I yield to marriage with the princess girl.”
