Adamu Abubakar gwarzo foundation, (AAG- Foundation) have outlined the major challenges faced with climate change in Nigeria.
The foundation disclosed that Misinformation, disinformation, lack of knowledge, lies, among others are key challenges faced with climate change in the country.
Dr. Abdullahi Musa Sufi, Director General of AAG foundation disclosed this in a one day capacity building training on climate change and renewable energy to various stakeholders on Wednesday.

While speaking on the paper themed; Climate change and global warming science; its impact on world, Nigeria, lessons and the way forward said there are too many challenges to Climate change, changing the narrative is key by creating awareness.
“This is a wake up call, the first step is creating awareness. The media, CSOs and other relevant stakeholders need to collaborate in creating and providing quality information and awareness to people, especially those in the grassroots level. This will go a long way in mitigating the cause of climate change.
He mentioned the creation of good policies, aforestation, renewable energy, smart advocacy, effective use of energy among others as the solution to climate change.
He also added that the Nigerian Metrological Agency (NiMet) have alot of responsibilities as they are the key predictors on climate change in Nigeria.
