NASCO Group Pledges Aid for Underprivileged in Collaboration with SWS

The Group general manager Administration and Human Resources of Nasco organizations, Shehu S. Nyahin, has commended  Stand Up for Women Society, SWS for championing the course of the trodden in the society.

He made the commendation when the Executive officers paid him a courtesy visit in his office at  the old airport road Jos on Monday.

Nyahin while appreciating the state chairperson Grace Gora for enumerating the mission and vision  of SWS, he described their zeal and commitment in advocacy for women to gain inclusiveness in all ramifications in the society.

The Group general manager Administration and Human Resources assured SWS  of continuous support within the limited resources of Nasco to achieve their planned activities, most especially to the less privileged.

” I like the way SWS is championing course of women to see that they enjoy inclusiveness in all aspects in the society.

I will continue to give to your association for the progress of the society especially the less privileged people as one of your programs.”

“For you to have identified with them through your association, we will see how we can impact on the lives of the less privilege,
these are people that are easily forgotten by many in the society. Adding that “I’m impressed”.

He however congratulated the group and prayed for more strength, resilience and enablement for SWS  continue in her endeavor.

Earlier the State chairperson Grace Gora, informed him that SWS established in 2018 in Nigeria and that of Plateau State emerged in 2019, though it was inaugurated in 2022. It has chapters in all over the 36 states in Nigeria including FCT, as well as in 5 African countries and affiliated to the United nations, UN.

She said the association is growing fast and her acceptability in the society is so high.

Gora enumerated some of the activities of SWS as advocating for the rights of women and children, serve as voice to the voiceless and the down trodden. It encourages women to be self sustainable, embark in businesses and to contest for positions in political parties.

The state chairperson maintained that support is accorded to men that have the interest of women at heart to enable them achieve their set out goals in the society.

She appreciated Nasco for being very supportive during their previous program and solicited for more support and collaboration.
