The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has announced its plan to train a total of 93,731 unemployed youths through a special skills acquisition program.
In a press statement issued yesterday, the Acting Coordinator of NDE in Adamawa State, Mallam Bello Nuhu, stated that this training will be part of the *Renewed Hope* employment initiative. The program aims to provide vocational, agricultural, and entrepreneurial skills training along with short-term job opportunities in the public works sector, utilizing over 30 different skill sets.
According to the statement, this job creation initiative aligns with six of the eight priority areas outlined in the *Renewed Hope Agenda*. Upon completing the training, selected participants will receive start-up capital, equipment, and working tools. Others will be linked to credit-granting institutions to access loans for medium or large-scale business ventures. The program will run from October 21, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
Interested candidates can register online at [www.nde.gov.ng](http://www.nde.gov.ng) or on the NDE Registration Portal at [https://www.nderegistrationportal.ng](https://www.nderegistrationportal.ng) using a valid email address, passport photograph, and National Identity Number (NIN). Alternatively, individuals can visit the NDE office in Adamawa State for assistance.
The statement further added that successful candidates will be notified by the NDE office for deployment to training centers across the state and country.
