…Supports Elderly Female Actresses With Cash, Bags of Rice

The National Security Adviser (NSA), Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, has called on community members across the country to remain vigilant and proactive in safeguarding their localities.
The message was delivered on Monday through Kannywood filmmaker and actor, Musa Abdullahi, popularly known as Mai Sana’a, during the distribution of 50kg bags of rice and N50,000 cash gifts to 25 elderly female actresses in the industry, a gesture courtesy of the Office of the NSA.
According to Mai Sana’a, the initiative reflects the NSA’s commitment to promoting community cooperation and prayers in support of national security efforts while emphasizing that the gesture was not politically motivated, but rather a humanitarian drive aimed at inspiring citizens to actively support security agencies in combating insecurity.
“If you see something, say something,” the NSA urged, stressing that “we all desire to sleep peacefully in our homes, visit loved ones, attend prayers at the mosque, and travel freely for our daily activities, but for this to continue, we must contribute our quota by reporting suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.”
Some of the beneficiaries, including Hajiya Zulaihatu Bebebji, popularly known as Yaya Hanne in the movie Kishiyata, and Hafsat Bashir Na’Dije, expressed appreciation to the Office of the NSA and to Musa Mai Sana’a for facilitating the support.
They pledged to remain observant and to promptly report any suspicious activities within their communities to security agencies, noting that preventing a crime before it happens is a shared responsibility.
“Helping security agencies is helping ourselves,”one of the beneficiaries noted. “When a community, state, or nation enjoys peace and coexistence, development thrives. But insecurity halts progress and throws a country into jeopardy.”
