NSCDC arrests phone snatchers, Intercepts Akuskura in Kano

The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested three suspected vandals, two phone snatchers, and intercepted 13 bags of a new psychoactive substance called “Akuskura”.

The suspects were arrested in Dala, Gezawa, and Garin Malam local government areas of the state.

The Command’s spokesperson, DSC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, told newsmen that the arrests were part of the Command’s ongoing manhunt against criminals.

“As a law enforcement agency mandated to protect the assets of government and public, we arrested three suspects of vandalism and two phone snatchers and Solar Panels thieves,” he said.

“The two suspects were charged to court and the others too will be charged to court after concluded the investigation. We also intercepted bags of Akuskura’ substance, as you know the government has prohibited importing such substances.”

He urged the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement to the authorities.
