NSCDC Commandant Jibrin Idris Visits Gombe SSG, Seeks Collaboration on Security

The newly posted Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Gombe State Command, Jibrin Idris, has paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, at the Government House in Gombe.

The visit was part of the Commandant’s familiarization tour following his assumption of duty.

During the meeting, Commandant Idris expressed his readiness to strengthen security in Gombe State and solicited the support of the state government to enhance the operational efficiency of the NSCDC.

He acknowledged the achievements of his predecessor and assured the SSG of his commitment to maintaining and improving the Corps’ collaboration with other security agencies.

A statement by the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, SC Buhari Sa’ad, highlighted that the SSG warmly welcomed Commandant Idris, congratulating him on his new role.

Professor Njodi assured the Commandant of the state government’s unwavering support, emphasizing the importance of collective efforts to sustain peace and stability in the state.

“The Gombe State Government is committed to working closely with security agencies to ensure the safety of our citizens and the protection of critical national assets,” Njodi stated.

He further encouraged Commandant Idris to build on the foundation laid by his predecessor and explore innovative strategies to tackle emerging security challenges in the state.
