NSCDC Deploys 3,100 Personnel for Peaceful Eid-el Kabir Celebration in Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has announced the deployment of over 3,100 personnel across the state to ensure a peaceful and secure Eid-el Kabir celebration.

According to a statement issued by the command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, the massive deployment was approved by the State Commandant, Shafi’u Abdulmumini, as part of the Corps’ comprehensive security arrangements ahead of the Sallah festivities.

The deployed officers were drawn from various departments, area commands, and divisional offices across the state. They are to provide security coverage at Eid prayer grounds, recreational centres, event venues, markets, and other strategic locations throughout the festive period.

“As the lead agency in protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, the NSCDC is placing special focus on safeguarding public utilities and, most importantly, the lives and property of Kano residents,” the statement read.

The Corps also issued a stern warning to potential troublemakers, urging them to stay away from all forms of criminal activity during and after the celebrations. It stressed that any individual caught engaging in unlawful acts will face the full weight of the law.

The Command called on the public to support security efforts and “give peace a chance” to ensure a smooth and incident-free Eid-el Kabir celebration in 2025.
