‎By Chizoba Njaka

‎The Anambra State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) has successfully concluded a project tour of various developmental projects being executed by the state government. The tour, which was part of the activities lined up for the 2025 Press Week, saw members of the NUJ visit several project sites across the state.

‎Some of the project sites visited by the NUJ members included: The Amawbia and Uga Dual-Carriage Road, the Ekwulobia Flyover, Solution Park, and Market, the Solution Fun-City as well as the Anambra State Government House and Lodge (the Light House) in Awka.

‎The tour, which was led by the NUJ Chairman, Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, and Secretary, Dr. Okechukwu Onuegbu, was a full-day field trip that terminated at the magnificent Light House. The exercise was aimed at showcasing the state government’s developmental projects and providing members of the Fourth Estate of the Realm with firsthand information on the projects.

‎The successful execution of the project tour despite early hitches is a testament to the determination and commitment of the NUJ Anambra State Council to its mandate. The tour provided an opportunity for journalists to see firsthand the progress being made on various projects and to get a better understanding of the state government’s vision for development.
