The Jigawa state government has reiterated its effort toward uplifting educational sector in the state.
The Honorable commissioner ministry of education science and technology Jigawa state Lawan Yunusa Danzomo, stated this during the three day validation meeting of the Jigawa state Girls Education Platform, coordination Framework and Financial Frame work organized by PERL-ARC held at Tahir Guest Palace Kano.
He then encouraged the participants of the state girl child education platform, to redouble their effort towards restructuring girls education in the state.
The commissioner who was represented by the permanent secretary of the ministry Hajiya Safiya Muhammad, urged the participants to concentrate in the girl child education.
In his welcome address, the state team leader PERL-ARC Jigawa office Alhaji Abubakar Dalha said all the emphasis is girl child education, urge the participants to address look a way to address the issue.
He then welcome the participants and wishes them successful deliberation.
The objectives of the meeting is to explore opportunities for addressing some of the challenges hampering access, retention and transition of girls in basic schools across the state, leveraging existing programmes, plans and budget.
To create sustainable platforms to address basic education challenges at the grassroots, with emphasis on girl child education.
To also facilitate the development of a coordination framework for girls education in Jigawa state.
