Peter Obi sets to visit Jigawa tomorrow

The presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) Mr Peter Obi and his running mate Alhaji Datti Baba Ahmed fixed Monday 30th to visit Jigawa state for their campaign rally.

This was disclosed by the Obi-Datti spokesperson Dr Yunusa Salisu Tanko while briefing news men on the on their preparation for the visit, held at three star hotel Dutse.

Dr Datti who cries out that, Jigawa government denied to give them facilities to hold their campaign rally said, the campaign now is going to take place in filin Samba opposite Sports complex in the capital City of the state.

According to him, initially the requested for Sports complex for campaign rally and Manpower development institute Dutse for the town hall meeting but state government refused to give the facilities, which according to him is contrary to electoral acts.

“We have called you this afternoon to speak on our rally coming up tomorrow at fillin samba after the state government denied us the use of government owned venues as ensureid by law” he said.

Dr Tanko then restated Peter Obi’s seven point agenda that if elected will set to implementation for better Nigeria in the near future.

He said, Peter Obi will do all his best to reduce banditry and insurgency as well as to unity among the citizens.

Other promises include food security, fight of corruption,
Leapfrogging Nigeria from an oil-dependent economy to the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) with massive investment in new technologies and expanding physical infrastructure like power, multi-modal transportation, gas pipeline, youths engagement and robust foreign policy.

“As for jigawa state State, the Obi-Datti administration in collaboration with the State Government hope to turn around the economy of the state when elected President”, he said.

He then called on Jigawa people to come en masse and welcome Peter Obi and vote for him on 25th February for better Nigeria.
