PLASU Welcomes Resource Verification Teams for New Programmes, Including Medical Science

Plateau State University Bokkos (PLASU) has taken a significant step towards expanding its academic offerings, receiving two separate Resource Verification Teams to pave the way for new programmes.

While receiving the team, Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Shedrack Best, described that Bokkos’ environment serene as conducive for learning.

He acknowledged the university’s rapid growth, from three to nine faculties, and expressed his commitment to leaving a lasting legacy.

Best explained that the verification teams, comprised experts from the University of Ibadan and Federal University of Technology Minna, that are expected to assessed facilities for the proposed programmes, including
Religious and Cultural Studies (Faculty of Arts), Statistics (Department of Statistics), School of Medical Sciences and Pharmacology Faculty.

The Acting VC maintained that the exercise aimed to evaluate available facilities, a crucial step towards accreditation and validation of the proposed programmes.

With approximately 10,000 students, Professor Best reaffirmed his dedication to providing an enabling environment for research, teaching, and community service, aligning with the institution’s core mandate.
