A member representing Pankshin North in the Plateau State House of Assembly Philip Peter Dasun has resign as the Deputy Majority leader.
He announced his resignation
during a plenary on Tuesday at the State House of Assembly.
This, Prime Time reports was after he publicly made it known at the floor of the House during Plenary on Tuesday
According to Philip Peter, who stressed that change is constant, felt it was the best decision for him to now resign and face His primary assignment and his constituency.
The state legislator, While debunking the rumor that his resignation is due to the alleged illegal impeachment of the Speaker, Rt Honourable Ayuba Nuhu Abok, he explained that it was his personal decision and as such, wants to become a floor member.
He however used the opportunity to congratulate the new Deputy Majority leader, Wallok Goma, member representing Kanke State Constituency and prays for more wisdom for him in carrying out his duty as the Deputy Majority leader of the Plateau State House of Assembly.
Prime Time News reports that, before his resignation, Dasun was the Chairman, House Committee on information.
