Plateau Governor Addresses Citizens Amidst Ongoing curfew

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has
appealed for patience and understanding, assuring that his government is committed to making life better for all citizens.

In a State broadcast on Tuesday in Jos, the governor commended citizens for their peaceful conduct during the Endbadgovernance protests.

He acknowledged the challenges faced by the state, including poverty and insecurity, and highlighted his administration’s efforts to address these issues.

He also appealed for continued patience, peace, and lawfulness while the government addresses citizens’ concerns.

The Governor expressed gratitude to traditional, community, and religious leaders, as well as civil society organizations, for their efforts in assuaging the anger and frustrations of protesters.

Governor Mutfwang urged all individuals and groups planning to cause unrest to reconsider their actions, warning that the security agencies are on high alert to address any threats decisively.

He assured that the curfew will be reviewed as soon as the security situation permits.

Our correspondent recalled that the state government had placed a 24-hour curfew to curtail in security challenges.
