Plateau State Govt redeemed pledges to 40 Schools

Plateau State, governor, Caleb Mutfwang, have on Thursday fulfilled the pledge he made to students from forty Schools in the state during the celebration of Nigerians Independence day.

Governor Mutfwang had earlier pledged to offer N1000 each to all the 800  Students who participated in the match pass.

Disbursing the sum on behalf of the governor, the State Commissioner for Information and Communication Plateau State Musa Ashoms, urged the benefiting Students to always keep to promises made just as the governor did to them.

Mutfwang urged the students to study hard and aspire to be responsible people in the society.

Governor Mutfwang had also offered N1500 each to all security Personnel who participated in the event despite the rains.

At the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) Staff school Jos, the Principal of the school, Richard Baba, appreciated the governor on be half of the students, noted that the gesture was the first of its kind to the School and the students.

The youngest among the students who benefited in the governor’s one thousand Naira pleged Timcit Bulus, a Junior Secondary School  Two student, from GSS Rikos in an appreciation, prayed for a successful tenure  of governor Caleb Mutfwang.

Other management of various Schools appreciated the governor, and pleaded that other welfare in the educational sector be look into.

At Al-Iman school Dogon Dutse, one of beneficiary Abdularaf Abubakar Abdullahi, an SS-3 student appreciated governor Caleb Mutfwang on behalf of his Colleagues.

Similarly, Recheal Rwang, also a final year student, who spoke on behalf of Government Secondary School  Hei-Rayfield thanked the Plateau government for the gesture.

It would be recalled that 800 benefiting pupils and students participated fully in the match pass with paramilitary personnel organized by the Plateau government to mark this year’s Independence day.

Our correspondent reports that Issuance of the cash prizes for the remaining schools cutting across public and private schools would be a continuing process.
