Plateau: TIC Chairmen of Jos South and Kanam give score card of office

As Transition Implementation Committee Chairmen of Local government areas of Plateau state prepare to mark one year in office, they were tasked to present their stewardship of office.

For over a week, a special edition of the program, grassroots governance engagement has been on air which is an initiative of ALGON Plateau State Ministry of local government and Chieftaincy Affairs, PRTV and other partners as a medium for the 17th Transition Implementation Committee Chairmen
to present their score card under the time is now administration of Governor Caleb Mutfwang to the public as he clocks one year in office.

Transition Implementation Committee Chairmen of Kanam, Ado Yusuf,said the issue of peace took a centre  in his locality which pave way for growth and development. 

Yusuf also enumerated some of his achievements  under his stewardship as Chairman of the local government area.

He said “Two projects that i want to embark upon is that of ICT, and i will also sink borehole in various Wards because people are suffering in terms of water”

On his part the TIC Chairman Jos South local government, Peter Vwang Dung,said he was able to address the insecurity threats and unite all his people  at the grassroots. 

Vwang Dung further highlighted some of the developmental strides since assumption into office, said ” We secured Jos South in the time of insecurity. In amonth time you will listen on radio that Vwang road was taken over by bandits”.

 “I have tried to mount a security checkpoint there for the past three weeks, that road is safe and you can know security is not what you can describe on air to the public, but we are putting measures to see that we secure Jos South local government”.

And again, as I mentioned  I made mention of ultra-modern motor park,because, we want to have one central motor park so that our people will have it easy ”

Our correspondent who monitored the program reports that both TIC Chairmen of Kanam and Jos South  praised Governor Caleb Mutfwang for his efforts at returning IDPs back to their ancestral home.

The one hour radio program which was a live, gave opportunity for call in with questions for the TIC leaders and commendations from citizens within the state.
