Popular actress Regina Daniels sues for abolition of child labour in Nollywood

Popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has called for abolishment of child labour in the entertainment industry.

Regina directed her call to celebrities and movie producers in a recent video that she posted on Instagram stressing that exploiting young girls may have a severe impact on their mental and physical welfare.

The actress expressed her dismay on how hazardous the industry is for women, citing example with now she was a victim to some extent and was saved due to her mothers influence.

According to Regina, she met a young girl on a set and was compelled to help her because of her age and situation.

She explained that the young lady asserted that she had left her parents’ house to work in Delta against their approval.

She acknowledged having slept at a number of hotels with both male and female visitors and said she occasionally experienced harassment from them.
