In his remarks, the Director General, Media and spokes person to the Kano state government, Sunusi Dawakintofa has
the fellows, he advised them on the importance of mentorship as well as the benefits attached to the program.
“So to the gentlemen, I will say media, communication, journalism, PR, is a very noble profession. You don’t need to be a graduate of mass communication to venture into it in as much as you are able to get professional training and a mentor.
“In my entire life, I believe so much in maintaining a mentor. In the last 24 years, whatever I take as a decision to do in my life, I search for a mentor for that particular thing. In some areas I get mentor 1, mentor 2 and mentor 3. With mentor 1,2,3 will give you an option. If you are so confused about something you can gather the three opinions and evaluate and then pick the best that suits you” he advised.
