In a vibrant and memorable ceremony, Khalifa Sheikh Ishaq Rabiu College proudly recognized Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo with the Exemplary Leadership Award, honoring his exceptional contributions to education, leadership, and service to humanity.

Speaking on behalf of the college, Malam Rabiu Shamma, the school’s coordinator, shared remarkable achievements of the institution.
He announced that over 200 students successfully graduated from secondary school, while more than 60 students completed their primary education this year. Shamma expressed deep gratitude for Professor Gwarzo’s unyielding dedication and his transformative leadership style, which has inspired many and positively impacted communities across Africa.
Reflecting on Professor Gwarzo’s influence, Shamma stated, “The work and service to humanity that Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo offers are beyond commendable. His leadership is an example to all of us and continues to inspire generations.”
Representing Professor Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo at the event, Dr. Musa Abdullahi Sufi conveyed a powerful message to the students. He emphasized the importance of acquiring skills that will empower them for a brighter future.
“Become good ambassadors of your school,” Dr. Sufi urged. “Use your education not only to excel academically but to develop skills in communication, good behavior, and hard work. These are the signs of serious students and a reflection of a well-rounded education.”
Dr. Sufi also highlighted the incredible legacy of Professor Gwarzo, the founder of the Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN) Group, who has established four universities across Africa, dedicated to promoting multiculturalism, innovation, and academic excellence.
The event showcased a series of impressive performances by the students, which left a lasting impact on everyone present. From eloquent speeches in Arabic and English to captivating recitations of the Holy Qur’an, the students demonstrated extraordinary skills and abilities.
Dr. Sufi, visibly impressed, shared his amazement at witnessing such talent in a community-based school, remarking, “I was genuinely shocked by the wonders I saw. The students’ proficiency in multiple languages and their academic prowess were nothing short of exceptional.”
The occasion was a true celebration of the college’s achievements, drawing thousands of attendees, including parents, community members, media representatives, representatives from state ministries of education and other governmental departments, and distinguished guests. In addition to honoring Professor Gwarzo, the college also recognized other notable individuals. The Vice-Chancellor of Khairun University, Prof. Abdurashid Garba represented by the chief librarian of the University, Malam Naziru Muhammad. Also Pharmacist Ahmed I Yakasai Dan Kachallan Kano was similarly honored and was the chairman of the occasion.

The graduation ceremony of Khalifa Ishaq Rabiu College and Muhammadu Rabiu Special Primary School, Gorondutse, took place on Saturday, 16th November 2024, at the schools’ premises.
