Rano LG in kano inaugurates 22-member committee on emergency relief

The Rano local government council in Kano State, has inaugurated a 24 member committee towards providing relief for disaster victims in the area.

This is contained in a statement by Alhaji Nasiru Habu-Faragai, the Rano Zonal Information Officer on Wednesday in Rano.
He said that the committee would work towards addressing disasters in the Local Government Area (LGA).

“The committee will look at the damages that happen and see how to help victims by relaying it to the State Government for intervention,” he stated.
Alhajj Dahiru Muhammad, the chairman of the council, charged the committee to work in accordance with its terms of reference.

“We will support and cooperate with the committee to ensure that its assignment is creditably done,” he said.
Earlier, the committee Chairman, Alhaji Auwalu Musa-Madachi promised to justify the confidence reposed in them. (NAN)
