Renowned Islamic Scholar Sheikh Sharif Sani Janbulo Commends Kano Governor, Deputy for Declaring Public Holiday on Takutaha Day

In a remarkable display of gratitude, renowned Islamic scholar Sheikh Sharif Sani Janbulo has praised Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo for declaring a public holiday on the occasion of Takutaha Day.

Sheikh Janbulo made these remarks during the annual Maulud celebration, which took place on Saturday at his residence in Kabuga Janbulo.

The four-day Maulud event drew Muslim faithful from across the country and neighboring regions, highlighting the deep significance of the occasion.

In his speech, Sheikh Janbulo expressed appreciation for the governor’s initiative, emphasizing that the public holiday reflects the administration’s respect for Islamic traditions and its commitment to preserving Kano’s cultural and religious values.

“We want to thank Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his deputy for declaring a work-free day on Takutaha Day, and we also appreciate their granting us permission to hold the Takutaha durbar,” Sheikh Janbulo stated.

The cleric also extended his gratitude to the Kano State Commissioner of Police for his support in ensuring the smooth conduct of the event. He commended the state government for being attentive to the spiritual needs of the people of Kano and fostering an environment that promotes religious observances.

The Maulud celebration, which commemorates the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), featured fervent prayers, Quranic recitations, and speeches from esteemed Islamic scholars.

Sheikh Sani Janbulo’s residence has become a central venue for such gatherings, attracting participants from all over the state and beyond.

The event concluded with prayers for peace, unity, and continued prosperity for Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.
