SBMC, PTA Commend Kano’s Comrade Muhammad Garba For Assisting School

Kano state Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, has received accolades for sponsoring the rehabilitation of solar system and borehole in Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Shekara, Kano.

According to a Statement by Sani Abba Yola, Director Special Duties, Kano State Ministry of Information, the commendations came from School Based Management Committee (SBMC) and Parents Teachers Association (PTA) of Government Girls Senior Secondary School Shekara, during as courtesy call in Malam Garba’s office.

 

In her remarks, the Director, Government Girls Senior Secondary School Shekara, Hajiya Zainab Ado Ma’aji said they were in his office to appreciate him for the rehabilitation of solar system and borehole in the school.

 

 

In their separate remarks, the ward Head of Yakasai Ward B, Alhaji Habibu Dauda Yakasai and the Imam of Yakasai, Khalifa Malam Sunusi Bamalli, thanked the Commissioner for his tremendous contributions to the school and Yakasai community.

 

Malam Garba, while responding to their praises, emphasized that community participation remains one of the best ways to support and improve the standard of education in the state.

 

The Commissioner explained that, “community involvement in meaningful activities and developmental projects in the education sector will also aid teaching and learning process in public schools.

 

 

“Getting involved in education development at the local level is a good way to have a long lasting impact on the academic success of the students.”

 

 

Malam Garba, however, urged individuals and corporate organizations to complement the government’s policy of free and compulsory basic, secondary education by contributing their quota in the education sector.
