Senator Simon Lalong representing Plateau South Senatorial District at the National Assembly has advocated more prayers and actions that will further nurture unity, love and compassion among citizens as Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.
In a Christmas message, the Senator said the coming of Jesus into the world saved humanity from darkness and condemnation as he illuminated the hearts of men and women with righteousness and salvation.
The former Minister of Labour and Employment said this is the essence of Christmas which should remain paramount as Nigerians join other Christians around the world to celebrate this joyous moment.
Senator Lalong said despite the challenges Nigerians are facing, the message of salvation and love which is central to Christmas, is capable of uniting the citizens to confront issues that have militated against development over the years.
He used the opportunity to reiterate his personal commitment to pursuing national ideals and serving the people with passion, integrity and love always.
The Senator assured his constituents of Plateau South Senatorial District that he will deploy all his experience and contacts towards ensuring that they feel the impact of positive representation during his term at the Red Chambers.
While wishing them a blessed Christmas and a joyous New year ahead, Lalong urged them to continue to pray for Plateau State and the nation at large.
