Popular South African Singer/Rapper Costa Tsobanoglou has been reported to have collapsed on stage while performing at the Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg on Saturday, 11 March 2023.
Known by his stage name as Costa Titch, was seen in videos making the rounds on the internet, fell during his performance but continued singing after he was picked up by his bodyguard, however, slumped a second time and had to be carried off stage.
Costa’s death has once again thrown the South African music industry into a gloomy state, as it is coming weeks after the death of another South African superstar rap artiste, Kiernan Jarryd Forbes popularly known as AKA, who was gunned down in Durban, South Africa.
Born in Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, South Africa in 1995, Costa Titch was known for several hits like Nkalakatha, Activate, and Big Flexa.
His death was confirmed by entertainment commentator Phil Mphela via Twitter who wrote, “RIP: Costa Titch. Nelspruit-born artist and dancer, real name Costa Tsobanoglou, has passed away. He was 27.”
Friends and well-wishers of Costa Titch have since extended a lot of condolence messages and prayers to his parents and family members over the incident.
