A hit-and-run driver has killed a personnel of Kano Road Traffic Agency, KAROTA in Kano state.
The incident, according to Public Relations Officer of KAROTA, Nabilusi Abubakar Kofar-Na’isa, occurred on Tuesday along BUK road in the Kano metropolis at about 11:45am.
It was gathered that the driver, after committing the act, ran away after hitting the KAROTA but Kofar-Na’isa said he was apprehended and.handed over to Police.
The spokesman said the body of the officer, identified as Zaharaddin Aminu Isma’il Sagagi was first taken to Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital where doctors confirmed him dead.
He added that the deceased had since been buried according to Islamic rites, adding that the driver is at Police custody for further investigation.
