The member House of Representatives from Doguwa/Tudunwada, who is also the majority leader of the House, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has empowered 2000 women and youth in his constituency as a pay back.
A total of N70m, 500 electrical sewing machines, 500 manual sewing machines, and four trailers of fertilizers were distributed to beneficiaries from his constituency on Thursday at Tudunwada Local Government Area of the state.
Doguwa who was emotional and shedding tears thanked his constituency for successively voting for him six times.
“I am here to thank you my people who have successively voted for me six times since 1992.
“I want to express my special thanks to you. We have come to empower 2000 women and youth as we have always done every 35 – 40 days in this constituency.
“We are going to distribute N70m, four trailers of fertilizer, 31 assorted cars, 500 electrical sewing machines, 500 manual sewing machines and 500 motorcycles” he stated.Â
He also announced that whatever result there is in the good acts of empowering the people, he will dedicate it to his late father.Â
However, there was drama among the popular politicians present at the event. The commissioner for local government, Murtala Sule Garo made a statement that angered the House Leader.Â
Garo, a popular politician in Kano teased Doguwa saying “I hope this empowerment is going to be real and cash down not promissory.Â
Doguwa, who was angry before collecting the microphone, instructed his aides to bring the bags containing the N70m to dump it in front of the wife of the Kano state governor Professor Hafsat Umar Ganduje.Â
He then collected the mic and started attacking the commissioner saying he doesn’t say that which he does not do.
