YBC Management Conveys Condolences to Yobe State University

From Sani Gazas Chinade, Damaturu

In a gesture of solidarity, the Vice-Chancellor of Yobe State University, Professor Mala M. Daura, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, prayers, and concerns from partners, including the management and staff of Yobe State Broadcasting Corporation (YBC) and the university community.

Their contributions, both in cash and compassion, have become a source of encouragement, accelerating the recovery process for both the traumatized students and the university at large.

During a sympathy visit by the YBC Management to the university, Professor Daura emphasized that this spirit of unity exemplifies the true strength of collaboration and coordination essential for mutual well-being during challenging times.

He informed the YBC Management that the university expects far-reaching recommendations from the committee investigating the incident, and all necessary actions will be taken to prevent future occurrences.

Despite the significant loss of valuables in the inferno, Professor Daura expressed gratitude to Almighty God that no lives were lost.

The General Manager of YBC, Alhaji Musa Galadima, highlighted the motive behind the visit, stating that the university deserved such sympathy due to the strong relationship it maintains with its host community.

He recalled the YSU fire service unit’s prompt response during a similar incident at YBC last year, showcasing the collaborative spirit between the two institutions.

Musa Galadima concluded with a prayer to Allah for prevention of future occurrences and for the reward of all those who played a role during and after the incident, ensuring a swift return to normalcy.
