Yobe Information Ministry Distributes Portable Public Address Systems to 17 LGA CDOs

The Yobe State Ministry of Home Affairs, Information, and Culture delivered 17 portable Public Address Systems, donated by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) through the North East Development Commission (NEDC), to Community Development Officers (CDOs) across the state’s 17 local government councils.
A press release from Suleiman Gambo Yusuf Bakoro, the Online and Community Media Desk Officer of the Yobe State Ministry of Home Affairs and Information, disclosed that the portable public address systems were handed over to Hon. Ibrahim Adamu Jajere, representing the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs. He, in turn, presented the systems to the CDOs of the respective local government areas.
The Commissioner for Home Affairs, Information, and Culture, Hon. Abdullahi Bego, represented by Alhaji Modu Gashua, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, stated, ‘These public address systems were graciously donated to the Yobe State Government by the North East Development Commission (NEDC) to aid community development officers in conducting sensitization campaigns and other activities within the 17 local government areas.’
Highlighting the officers’ preparedness, the Commissioner mentioned a two-day training organized by JICA in Abuja. This initiative aimed to bolster their capacity, enabling them to effectively educate, enlighten, and sensitize their respective communities on matters of public interest.
In response, Bulama Jalaludin, a representative of the 17 LGA Community Development Officers from Tarmuwa local government area, expressed gratitude to the Yobe State Ministry of Home Affairs, Information, and Culture for the support and encouragement.
He assured the ministry of their commitment to the responsible utilization of the public address systems.
