Yobe PDP Rep Urges Youths to Get PVCs Ahead of 2027 Elections

From Sani Gazas Chinade, Damaturu

A member of the House of Representatives representing Fune/Fika Federal Constituency of Yobe State, Hon. Muhammad Buba Jajere, has called on youths and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to take full advantage of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking in an interview with journalists, Jajere urged all eligible citizens, particularly youths who have just attained voting age, to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs). According to him, this is a crucial opportunity for Nigerians to make their voices heard in the democratic process.

He emphasized that voter registration is not only a fundamental right but also a civic duty that enables individuals to shape the future of their communities and the nation at large.

“The PVC remains the only legal instrument citizens need to effect change through the ballot,” he stressed.

The lawmaker encouraged all eligible citizens who have not yet registered to do so without delay, noting that active participation is key to the success of the exercise.

He added that proper voter registration ensures that citizens’ votes count in electing leaders who will drive development and progress.

Jajere further urged youths to become card-carrying members of political parties in order to position themselves to contest elective offices.

He also commended the leadership of the PDP at both state and national levels, assuring them of unwavering support from youths in Yobe.

He called on youths, women, and the elderly to give their maximum cooperation to the party’s leadership, while reiterating his constituency’s commitment to supporting the registration process and ensuring that all eligible citizens can participate freely.
