The establishment of School Based Management Committees (SBMCs) aimed to enhance accountability and educational outcomes by engaging teachers, parents, and students in school management and decision-making.
Recently, the SBMC from Anwaru Islamiyya Primary School paid a courtesy visit to the office of the Education Secretary of Nguru Local Education Authority, Mallam Hamisu Ado.
Led by Mallam Umaru Magaji and Mallam Isa Garba, the delegation sought to strengthen collaboration with the Education Secretary’s office.
They revealed that three schools, including Anwaru Islamiyya Primary School, had recently accessed grants for projects aimed at contributing to school development.
In his welcome address, Mallam Hamisu Ado urged the benefiting SBMCs to utilize the grants judiciously for school development.
He assured them that the state government, through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and State Universal Basic Education, would continue to support them, particularly in times of need.
