Zamfara: Group calls for arrest of organization leader over black painting of Reps Member

From Ibrahim Kaulahi, Gusau

A political group (Jaji Vanguard Zamfara State) supporting a member House of Representatives representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji federal constituency, has called for security agencies to immediately arrest and prosecute a leader of an organization (Zamfara North Progressive Movement) for attempt to involve hon. Aminu Sani Jaji for aiding banditry.

This was contained in a statement by the State Coordinator of the Jaji Vanguard, hon. Nasiru Garba and made it available to newsmen in Gusau Zamfara State capital, saying the unfounded report has been trending on a social media which claimed to be emanated from a purported press briefing organized by one faceless Ahmed Abubakar Birane, claimed that, hon. Aminu Jaji had put pressure on Police to release one hon. Ibrahim who was invited by the Police Command to give his own account on suspected actions related to insecurity.

“The purported press briefing was said to have been addressed by the same Birane at unidentified location and date, delved into a politically motivated case involving acts of banditry and kidnapping suddenly dragged in the House of Representatives member representing Kaura Namoda/Birnin Magaji in the national assembly, Hon. Sani Jaji just to fulfill the whims of his sponsors.

“As fabricated lies indicated that Hon. Jaji had put pressure on the police to release Hon. Ibrahim who was invited by the Police to give his own account over a security issue, the half-witted brainless writer forgot that he had mentioned that the man was released on bail and even without this, we strongly demand a convincing evidence where and how Jaji put pressure for the release of the invited suspect.

“While we urge the security to fish out these bad elements from wherever they may be operating, we are also preparing to seek for redress in a competent court of law against them to serve as deterrent.

“This sensitive issue must invite an urgent need for security agencies to swing into action with a view to arrest such a rumour monger and his co using the social media to further cause havoc to the already battered Zamfara and its people before unwanted escalation” the statement has appealed.
