100 days : Gov Namadi vows to improve orphanage houses

The Jigawa state governor Malam Umar Namadi has promised to improve the living standard of Orphans in the state.

Governor Namadi dropped the hint while briefing news men on his hundred day in office as executive governor at government house Dutse.

He explained that, as part of effort to ensure Social protection of people, particularly the less privilege people like orphans, women and children, series of discussion with Ministry of women and other relevant authorities to design a better solution of challenges in the sector.

According to him, the state government will look into the challenges of orphanage homes across the state and rehabilitate the houses for the betterment of their lives.

While speaking on women social welfare, Governor Namadi said, his administration empowered one thousand women with N50,000 each as support to their business.

He maintained that, his administration also set-up committee to review maternal health issues and ensure free treatment of pregnant women and children across the State.

The governor then seek more support and cooperation from Jigawa citizens to achieve his objectives of moving the state forward.
