2 killed, scores missing as armed bandits attack Dandume LGA in Katsina State

In a devastating turn of events, tragedy struck the peaceful town of Dandume yesterday (Sunday) around 8:00 pm, as a gang of armed bandits launched ruthless assault, leaving the community in shock and mourning.

Eyewitness accounts recount a painful scene, with armed bandits descending upon the town with reckless abandon. The attackers reportedly initiated their onslaught from the the town’s old cemetery, situated in close proximity to the residence of Alh. Rabi’u Mai Atamfofi.

Regrettably, the rampage claimed the lives of two innocent individuals – a man and a woman – who fell victim to the hail of bullets unleashed by the assailants.

Moreover, the assailants succeeded in abducting several individuals, spiriting them away to an undisclosed location, leaving families and the community in agonizing uncertainty.

Speaking under the condition of anonymity, an eyewitness to the harrowing incident lamented the pervasive atmosphere of fear and panic that has gripped the locality.

The eyewitness passionately implored governmental intervention, beseeching leaders at all levels, from the President to the State Governor, to step in and redouble efforts to fortify the security measures in Dandume.

As the community reels from the heartrending loss and the unsettling abductions, the eyewitness earnestly extended prayers for solace and repose for the departed souls.

Additionally, the witness fervently prayed for the swift and safe return of the kidnapped individuals, while also beseeching for enduring peace to reign not only in the region but throughout the nation.
