50 Women Trained in Home Management and Operational Etiquettes in Adamawa

From Umar Dankano, Yola

Fifty women from the southern senatorial constituency of Adamawa State have received training in professional home management and housekeeping etiquettes.

This two-day intensive training took place in Numan Local Government Area on November 11th and 12th, 2024, organized by the Centre for Management Development in partnership with B-Tech Global Investment and Services Ltd.

In his address, Dr. Ibrahim Baba, an official from the Centre, explained that the training initiative is being extended to all six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, with the goal of fostering self-reliance among women.

Baba highlighted that this federal government program is part of a broader effort to equip women with occupational skills that enhance family services.

He noted that the achievements of Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe in his district attracted the attention that secured this training for Adamawa.

Baba expressed confidence in the global-standard skills imparted during the training, which are expected to contribute to home, community, and professional development.

He appreciated Senator Yaroe’s role in bringing the program to his constituency and urged the participants to share the knowledge with others in their communities.

Senator Yaroe, addressing the participants, encouraged them to use their newly acquired skills to enhance their economic and social standing as mothers and leaders in their communities.

Represented by Hon. Katawan Boniface, Yaroe advised the women to value their empowerment packages, act patriotically, and disseminate the training to other women in their local governments.

Hon. Amsam Thaddeus, Vice Chairperson of Demsa Local Government, commended the organizers, noting that this was a unique initiative in the zone and that the selected women were fortunate to participate.

Speaking on behalf of the participants, Mrs. Sawe Omega Ndwakan assured the Senator and the training team that they would apply the skills learned for the benefit of all.

Our correspondent reported that the participants included women from the nine local government areas within the constituency: Numan, Lamurde, Demsa, Guyuk, Shelleng, Mayo-Belwa, Jada, Ganye, and Toungo.
