Yobe NUJ Council Applauds Governor Buni for Development in Education, Other Sectors

The Yobe State chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) has extended commendation to Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration for its comprehensive development initiatives, particularly in the education sector.

In a press briefing led by the council’s Chairman, Comrade Rajab Mohammed Ismail, the union highlighted their recent tour to assess the state and local governments’ endeavors in enhancing citizens’ lives. The tour provided firsthand insights into the strides made by both the state and local government under Governor Mai Mala Buni’s leadership.

Comrade Rajab acknowledged several notable projects observed during the journalists’ tour, emphasizing significant advancements in the education sector and other areas.

He specifically praised the administration’s commitment to elevating the education sector, evident in the outstanding performance of Yobe students in NECO, WAEC, and NABTEB examinations.

Governor Buni’s initiatives in the health sector were also commended, notably the establishment of approximately 140 primary healthcare centers, enhancing healthcare services across the state.

Comrade Rajab Muhammad further commended the administration for covering examination fees and professional bodies’ registration fees, including those for the Nigerian Law School and ANAN, benefiting state students both locally and internationally.

“Governor Buni has undoubtedly made commendable contributions to the entire state,” remarked Comrade Rajab, acknowledging the positive impact of the administration’s efforts on various sectors.
