Gidan Yanci encourages collaboration among fellows

The Gidan Yanci program has on Friday organized a meeting where fellows from various thematic areas converged.
The program, which focuses on freedom of expression, political participation, and governance reform, emphasized the importance of collaboration among fellows to maximize the program’s impact.
Zulaihat Danjuma, one of the program lead, urged the fellows to leverage social media platforms, local languages, and new technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) to create impactful reports that raise public awareness about the program.
“By utilizing these tools effectively. we can ensure that our message reaches a wider audience and fosters a deeper understanding of the program’s goals.” Danjuma stressed while speaking at the DAG office at Zaria road.
Sadiq Muhammad, the program lead, highlighted the importance of creativity and urged journalists to utilise their skills.
“Don’t be afraid to think outside the box. Embrace your creativity and leverage your journalistic skills to craft compelling narratives that resonate with the public,” he added.
The meeting aimed to foster collaboration and innovation among fellows, brought together fellows from diverse backgrounds.
Among the notable fellows in attendance include, Mustapha Salisu, Hafsat Bello Bahara, Mariya Shuaibu Suleiman, Hajara Salisu, Adam Ismail, Suleiman Hamza, Aisha Ahmad, and Aminu Abdullahi Ibrahim.
Others include; Rukayya Abdulhadi, Maryam Maharazu, Aisha Abdullahi Muhammad and Hadiza Musa Yusuf.
The Gidan Yanci fellowship program is an initiative focused on empowering young youths specifically in Kano State, to become effective agents of positive change in their communities.
