COWA Apapa Command Holds Maiden Meeting, Solicits Comptroller Olomu’s Support

As Nigeria Customs Service deploys Comptroller Babatunde Olomu to head Apapa Command, the Command’s chairperson of the Customs Officers’ Wives Association (COWA), Mrs. Funsho Olomu, has called on officers’ wives at the Apapa Command to join the association to benefit from its goodies.
Mrs. Olomu made this call in Lagos on Thursday 30th May, 2024, when she led her executives members on a courtesy visit to the Customs Area Controller, Babatunde Olomu, adding “our association considers every wife of officer as a family member, hence the need to come en masse to become registered members of the association.”
The meeting, which is first of its kind since the appointment of Mrs. Olomu as the ew chairperson of COWA’s Apapa branch, revolved around paving ways to sensitise members and revive the activities of the association in the command.
Customs Area Comptroller Babatunde Olomu, on his part, expressed delight to see the team and promised to support them in all ramification within his power, adding “my contribution to COWA will continue to be sustained, and I will intimate my officers during our parade to encourage their wives to be part of the good initiative of COWA.”
In a separate occasion, Mrs. Olomu also coordinated another historic visit to Marine Beach and Liverpool Road barracks, where they engaged other officers’ wives and rubbed minds with them on key plans to strengthen the presence of the association in the formation.
Also, in her efforts to key into President Kikelomo’s agenda of cushioning women with skills to become self-relient, Mrs. Funsho further visited the spa area within the Command complex, where she vowed to conduct national healthy wife wealthy life quarterly programmes.
