KDSG Boosts ABU Medical Centre with Drugs Worth Millions of Naira
The Medical Centre, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria has taken delivery of large consignment of drugs worth millions of Naira donated to the medical facility by the Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board.
According to reports issued to newsmen from the Public Affairs Directorate, Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria on Thursday, indicated there are 14 different drugs mostly anti-biotics, anti-malarial and vitamins for both children and adults.
Presenting the drugs to the Director, University Health Services, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Prof. Muhammed Dauda Maigatari, the Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Bello Jamoh, explained the donation was to enhance the medical services offered by the Medical Centre and other community service.
Represented by the Board’s Director, Family and Community Care, Mrs. Nafisat Musa Isah, the Executive Director stressed that the Centre needed to be complemented given the services it offers to students, staff and neighboring communities.
Receiving the items, the Director, University Health Service, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Prof. Muhammed Dauda Maigatari, stated that the drugs would be judiciously utilised.
Prof. Maigatari, who was assisted in collecting the drugs by top management staff of the University Health Service, also described the donation as timely and that students, staff and the University as a whole would remain grateful for the gesture.
The representative of the Executive Secretary, Kaduna State Primary Health Care Board, Mrs. Nafisat Musa Isa, was in company of the Board’s Public Affairs Officer, Maryam Oyewo and two others.
