Gastronomy Food Forum celebrates first Tea Summit in Jigawa

The Gastronomy Food Forum in collaboration with Federal University Dutse and Hasinah Confectionary celebrated first tea summit in Jigawa state.
The leader of the forum and also founder of Hannan Hangout Hajiya Salmat Haruna Wakili said, the summit is first of it kind since the creation of the state.
Wakili who said tea is a source of livelihood, added that, the move will help in increasing tea drinking habits and strengthen the tea sellers to maintain a hygienic environment for cooking tea in their respective business centres.
She explained that, during the summit, the tea cooking competition was conducted and other presentations from the professional in the field of environmental health, entrepreneurship, investment, Small and medium enterprises and other economic planning for youth to remain self reliance.
While making his presentation, an economic Professor from Federal University Dutse (FUD) professor Ibrahim Adam highlighted the benefits attached to drinking of tea.
He explained that, the tea leaves were drives from different plants in which if it mixed with hygienic water and boil, it will strengthen immunes in human body.
Professor Adam also described tea as source of livelihood as it provide jobs opportunities to thousands of Youths as business to survive.
He commended the forum for organizing the summit and urged the general public to embrace tea drinking habits to boost their immune system and healthy body.
Those emerged winners at the competition are Abduljabbar Aliyu from FUD with 86 marks, followed by Ahmadu Sulaiman from Gadadun tea shop with 71 marks and Aliyu Ibrahim from tea and bread sellers with 63 marks.
