Plateau: Governor Mutfwang congratulates muslim ummah on Eid-Ul-Maulud, calls for peace and unity

Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Muslim Ummah in Plateau State and beyond on the occasion of Eid-ul-Maulud, which marks the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
In a press statement, signed by his Director of Press and Public Affairs Gyang Bere, in Jos, Governor Mutfwang emphasized the profound significance of Eid-ul-Maulud for the Muslim community, noting Prophet Muhammad’s crucial role in spreading the message of Islam and fostering peace and unity among followers.
He encouraged Muslim to use the celebration to reflect on the life, teachings, and the values Prophet Muhammad promoted, such as compassion, justice, and mercy.
Governor Mutfwang further enjoined them to leverage the celebration to foster unity and solidarity within the Muslim community and to pray for peace and security both in Plateau State and across Nigeria. He also called on them to pray for wisdom and guidance for leaders to effectively address the nation’s current challenges and ensure good governance.
Highlighting the virtues of peace, fairness, and justice associated with Prophet Muhammad, the Governor encouraged acts of charity, kindness, tolerance and community service during this period to positively impact society.
Governor Mutfwang assured of his administration’s commitment to providing inclusive, accountable, and transparent governance by embracing all citizens regardless of ethnic or religious backgrounds.
He however on behalf of the government and the people of Plateau State, conveyed his best wishes for a joyous Eid-ul-Maulud and the celebration of the enduring legacy of love, peace, and justice championed by Prophet Muhammad.
