Eid al-Maulud: Fityanul Islam Felicitates with Muslim Ummah, Urges Prayers Amid National Hardships
Fityanul Islam of Nigeria, through its national headquarters in Abuja, has extended warm felicitations to the entire Muslim Ummah, both in Nigeria and around the world, as they celebrate the birth of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Sheikh Muhammad Arabi Ahmad Abulfathi, President, Fityanul Islam of Nigeria in a statement issued to newsmen by Ustaz Sani Ibn Salihu, Director General, Media & Publicity of the Organization emphasized that this celebration aligns with Allah’s command to love, support, praise, and follow the teachings and Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW).
This year’s Eid al-Maulud celebration occurs during a period of distress for the nation, highlighted by the devastating flood disaster in Maiduguri, which claimed lives, destroyed property, and caused unprecedented damage.
Coupled with ongoing security and livelihood challenges, Fityanul Islam expressed its firm belief in the power, grace, and compassion of Allah to save the nation from its hardships.
The organization urged Muslims to use the period of Eid al-Maulud to pray for an end to the multiple problems facing the country. Additionally, Fityanul Islam called on Nigerians, corporate bodies, embassies, and multinational organizations to offer aid to flood victims in Maiduguri and other affected parts of Nigeria.
The statement also reminded Muslims of the exemplary character, morals, and life of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as the best model for all aspects of life. The essence of Maulud, it noted, should not be limited to celebration, but also serve as a time to reaffirm commitment to following the Sunnah of the Prophet.
The message concluded with a prayer for steadfastness in adhering to the Prophet’s teachings.
